·         Discussion 1:“Process and Product Modeling.” During the 1970s, the U.S. Air Force Program for Integrated Computer-Aided Manufacturing (ICAM) sought to increase manufacturing productivity through systematic application of computer technology Students will respond to the following:

o   What are the four (4) series of techniques that resulted from this approach?

·         Lecture onwhat is configuration management, the configuration management process, configuration and data management, life cycle and configuration management, organization of configuration management, and changing nature of configuration management in the aerospace industry.

·         Discussion 2:“Managing Configuration and Data for Effective Project Management.”The process protocol model consists of thirteen (13) steps from Inception to Feedback.  Students will respond to the following:

o   What are the steps?
o   Can any be skipped in this process model?

o   If so, what are the possible ramifications?


Assignment 1:Challenges to Effective Management Processes.

Write a one to two (1–2) page paper in which you discuss the single biggest challenge to effective management process and one (1) recommendation for addressing that challenge.

The format of the paper is to be as follows:
o   Typed, double-spaced, New Times Roman font (size 12), one-inch margins on all sides.APA format.
o   In addition to the one to two (1–2) pages required, a title page is to be included. The title page is to contain the title of the assignment, your name, the instructor’s name, the course title, and the date.
